Beacon Safe is a check-in timer for the moments when "text me when you get there" isn't enough — solo hikes, late shifts, walks home alone, caregivers staying overnight with an elderly parent. Set the timer before you start. If you don't check in by the deadline, your emergency contacts are reached automatically through SMS, email, voice call, and push — escalating channel by channel until someone responds.
The app uses Apple's most restricted notification entitlement, Critical Alerts — approved by Apple on April 22, 2026 — the way it was intended: only when someone may actually be in trouble. It breaks through Silent and Focus modes on a contact's iPhone when seconds matter.
